Traceable to evidence.
Names, dates, prices, estate counts and current operational states carry a direct source or a named record.

Editorial standards
This is a fan-created public-history project, not an official brand record. The archive separates evidence from interpretation, gives living claims a review date, and records substantive changes instead of silently rewriting them.
Original editorial reconstruction · no private project records or visitor information are shown
Public identity
One Last Table archive is the public name used by this independently operated, non-commercial website. It is not a company, charity, part of Beefeater or part of Whitbread PLC. Using a project name does not remove the operator’s responsibilities for corrections, rights requests or personal information.
Contact webmaster@beefeatermemories.co.uk. The public privacy notice explains the data route; this page explains the editorial one.
Factual-status labels
Labels describe what the evidence establishes at the stated review date. They do not predict what is likely to happen next.
Method
Names, dates, prices, estate counts and current operational states carry a direct source or a named record.
Editorial conclusions—such as the long shift from destination dining to hotel-led food—are presented as synthesis and linked to the supporting chronology.
If a future operator, format or date is not evidenced, the archive says so. Plausibility is not publication proof.
Substantive revision log
Typographic fixes are not listed. Changes to evidence, rights, status, scope or public policy are.
Moved measurement ID G-JMY547RKYP into the page head with analytics storage denied by default. The visitor choice now updates all four Google consent signals, allowing Google to detect the tag while analytics cookies remain unavailable until consent is granted.
Confirmed the £115 million Berni wording against the Financial Times archive, while noting the Business Times' rounded £120 million figure and 150-restaurant description. Corrected Brian Turner's Beefeater appointment to August 1999; the 2003 Guardian report documents his continuing menu role, not the start of it.
Added Google Analytics with a visitor choice, a persistent way to change that choice, and an updated privacy notice describing the information collected. The original tag-blocking method was replaced by consent mode on 25 September.
Matched Queensway Inns’ current White Hart venue listing to the former Guestling Beefeater address, updated its archive record and the successor register, and raised the directly matched Queensway total from nine to ten. The listing does not establish an opening date or completion of the wider conditional property transaction.
Added a site-wide disclosure that operator listings, planning records and credible reporting are checked daily. The archive records material developments and corrections rather than manufacturing entries for days on which nothing changed.
Replaced scheduled-closure language with Beefeater’s completed national notice; recorded continuing Premier Inn dining; moved The Cranborne Hundred’s opening from 16 to 29 September after the operator changed its listing; and added live Queensway records for Broomside Park and The Plough, bringing the directly matched total to nine.
Recorded Beefeater’s final scheduled brand-wide service day; checked all 14 Queensway-linked names; linked seven current Queensway venue pages; added Liberty Bell’s official 1995 opening evidence; separated Gloucester’s Longford Inn from Longford House in Cannock; preserved the conflicting wording on Carnon Inn’s official closure notice; and corrected crawler-visible future-tense fallbacks on closure day.
Made venue discovery the principal route, added an accessible mapped estate explorer and richer outcome filters, introduced Then–Final days–Now summaries, simplified navigation, improved search and bibliography controls, clarified edition language and added a date-aware post-closure homepage state. Also added the undecided Stanborough planning application with explicit limits.
Added contemporary reporting of the £36 million sale of 40 Beefeaters to Crowded House and a later hospitality-trade account of the successor company’s 1999 receivership. The chronology now distinguishes profitable sites sold for brand fit from the later estate contractions.
Removed public display and download access for four Berni menu scans and one newspaper advert whose creators and reuse permission remain unverified. Price transcriptions, provisional dating and brief research commentary remain.
Created one dated update register, corrected expired Reward Club action language, and added a public material-change page and RSS feed.
Recorded the full page inventory, weighted benchmark, seven-discipline review, implementation plan and post-change test criteria before changing the publication.
