The next chapter
Who are Queensway Inns?
Familiar pub names are returning under a different operator. Here’s who they are and which former Beefeaters they now run.

A new name for familiar pubs
For some former Beefeater regulars, the building and its old pub name are still there. The operator has changed. Queensway Inns is bringing a number of former Whitbread restaurants back as value pubs, rather than carrying on the Beefeater steakhouse brand.
Queensway Inns is the pub trading name within Queensway Hospitality Group Limited, company number 14502169. Companies House records incorporation as Narmak Holdings Limited in November 2022 and a change to the Queensway name in August 2025. The registered office is in Ponteland, near Newcastle upon Tyne. Kamran Aziz is its sole listed director. The holding company and its operating companies are separate entities.
Queensway describes itself as independent. Its website does not identify its owners or investors. It is a separate business from the hotel and franchise group at queensway.com.

What Whitbread agreed
In August 2026, Whitbread confirmed a conditional sale of 53 branded restaurants to Queensway Inns. The deal included former Beefeaters and Brewers Fayres in England, Scotland and Wales. Around 900 staff could transfer under TUPE. The price was not disclosed.
Queensway’s website has used both 53 and 54 for its estate, while its directory listed 45 pubs on 8 October 2026. An open pub does not mean the whole property sale is complete.

Twelve matches from the final Beefeater estate
Twelve former Beefeaters from our final 106 have live Queensway pub pages: Broomside Park, Carnon Inn, Griff House, Moor Mill, Morris Dancers, Oyster Reach, The Plough, The Three Fish, Twelve Bells and White Hart, plus Great Yarmouth Seafront as The Dunes and Preston Brook as The Canal House.
The Dunes was the first of these to reopen, on 20 August 2026. Morris Dancers now has its own live page, with opening hours and an invitation to neighbouring Premier Inn guests. Its opening day is not published. Longford Inn and the separate Great Yarmouth Restaurant entry remain unresolved in the successor register.

Food and offers, rather than a steakhouse menu
The main menu lists burgers, fish and chips, wings, nachos and puddings, but no steaks. Queensway presents these as affordable local pubs. Breakfast is available, with free hot-drink refills.
Offers recorded on 8 October included Monday desserts from £2.50, Tuesday curry and pizza clubs, a Wednesday burger and drink for £12, two Friday fish suppers for £15 and a Sunday family meal for two adults and two children at £25. These are dated examples, not a promise that every pub will always offer the same deal. Check the individual pub before travelling.

A different Queensway near Blackpool
The Queensway at St Annes is a separate former Beefeater. It went to Mitchells & Butlers in the 2006 deal, became a Harvester that November and a Miller & Carter in 2017. Its name does not make it part of Queensway Inns.
